In a dramatic turn of events, the 44-year-old homeowner, sitting on the steps of his house on North Wolcott Avenue just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night, heard suspicious noises. He quickly noticed two men working under a car, attempting to steal the catalytic converter.
What followed was a deadly shootout, ending with one of the suspects fatally shot, according to police.
