22-Year-Old Graduate Student from La Crosse Found De.ce.ased

A missing 22-year-old graduate student from La Crosse, Wisconsin, was tragically found deceased after disappearing near the Mississippi River early Sunday morning, according to CBS News.

Eliotte Heinz was last seen at approximately 3:22 a.m. near the 500 block of Front Street South, the La Crosse Police Department confirmed. Her university, Viterbo University, became a focal point for community volunteers who tirelessly joined the search efforts before the heartbreaking discovery.

La Crosse Police Chief Shawn Kudron expressed deep sorrow over the outcome: “This is not the result we had hoped for during the search. Our hearts go out to Eliotte’s family, friends, and everyone who knew her. We are truly grateful for the overwhelming support from the La Crosse community, across Wisconsin, and nationwide in helping to find Eliotte.”
