WATCH: A Look into ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ Illegal Alien Detention Facility

The Miami-Dade Collier Training Facility, now infamously known as “Alligator Alcatraz,” has been unveiled to the public with President Donald Trump visiting on its grand opening day. The facility, approved by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is set to house, process, and deport criminal illegal aliens.

A newly released video gives an inside look at the facility, which was constructed in just over a week, revealing rows of beds spread throughout the sprawling structure.

Upon his arrival, Trump was greeted by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who shared his vision for expanding such facilities.

“…Don’t let Florida be the only state. We have many red states that should be doing this just as Florida is,” DeSantis remarked. “This will encourage many people to deport themselves because they don’t want to end up in Alligator Alcatraz or similar places. We believe this model is essential, but we need other states to take action.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt provided a preview of Trump’s visit during a press briefing.

“The facility, located deep in the Everglades, has earned the nickname Alligator Alcatraz. It’s isolated, with only one road leading in and the only exit being a one-way flight. Surrounded by dangerous wildlife and challenging terrain, it is designed to house, process, and deport criminal illegal aliens with a capacity of up to 5,000 beds,” she explained.

President Trump is expected to lead a roundtable discussion on the facility shortly after the tour.
