Teenage Footballer Ksawery Jezewski Battles for Life After Tragic Crash That Claims Sister’s Life

A promising 17-year-old footballer from Poland is fighting for his life in hospital after a devastating car accident that claimed the life of his older sister.

Ksawery Jezewski, a talented player for Legia Warsaw’s U17 team, was traveling in a car that veered off the road and crashed into a tree in Goslice, near Plock in central Poland. The collision tragically took the life of his 18-year-old sister at the scene despite emergency efforts to save her.

Ksawery Jezewski, a promising 17-year-old striker for Legia Warsaw’s Under-17 team, remains in critical condition after a tragic car accident that claimed the life of his 18-year-old sister.

According to police, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, including who was driving the vehicle at the time. Early reports indicate the Toyota Yaris involved was not speeding when it left the road and collided with a tree.

“A Toyota Yaris left the road for unexplained reasons and struck a tree,” a police spokesperson told Polish newspaper Przeglad Sportowy. “The footballer’s sister died at the scene, while Ksawery was rushed to hospital. The cause of the accident is still unknown, but initial findings suggest the car was not moving at high speed. The driver’s identity has not yet been confirmed.”

Jezewski, who previously trained with Wisła Płock’s academy, has also represented Poland at the Under-17 level, featuring in two friendly matches against Albania last autumn. The football community is rallying around the young talent and his family during this difficult time.
