Football stars new photos spark heated debate

Cosmetic Procedures Are More Accessible Than Ever—And Athletes Aren’t Immune

In today’s world, getting cosmetic procedures has never been easier or more common. With a growing number of options readily available, many people—especially those in the public eye—are choosing to enhance their looks.

Athletes, in particular, have become frequent subjects of speculation when it comes to aesthetic treatments. One athlete currently stirring up buzz is Swiss football star Alisha Lehmann.

Alisha recently made headlines following her appearance at the Women’s Euros 2025, where fans and followers quickly noticed a visibly fuller, smoother face and plumper lips. This sparked widespread rumors about possible cosmetic enhancements.

Known as the “world’s prettiest footballer,” Lehmann plays for Italy’s Juventus and the Swiss national team. Beyond the pitch, she has built a massive social media presence with over 16 million Instagram followers and regularly lands high-profile brand deals, including partnerships with Tezenis and Logan Paul’s Prime hydration drink.

In their opening match, Switzerland fell to Norway with a close 2-1 defeat. However, they bounced back in their next game, securing a solid 2-0 victory over Iceland. Meanwhile, photos of Alisha Lehmann quickly went viral online, sparking a flood of opinions about her changed appearance.

One commenter criticized her new look, writing, “Alisha Lehmann is another example of how plastic surgeries and makeup can make women look worse.”

Others expressed sadness over what they see as the loss of her natural beauty, lamenting, “Surreal. She was absolutely stunning—and with youth on her side, there was no need for this.”

However, many fans came to the defense of the 26-year-old athlete, emphasizing her right to make her own choices about her appearance. One supporter wrote, “All the misogynists showing themselves in the comments… how tragic.”

“This woman is so stunning,” another admirer praised, while one fan simply declared, “Girl crush FOREVER.”

Beyond football, Alisha also explores modeling. Earlier this year, she starred in Tezenis Underwear’s Valentine’s Day collection, showcasing her confidence on a different stage.

“I wouldn’t say modeling was ever on my bucket list (laughs), but it’s definitely cool and a nice change,” she shared in an interview with 20 Minutes.

A few years ago, Alisha spoke candidly about the lingering misogyny female athletes face. She told SkySports, “A lot of times people say, ‘Women can’t play football, they should be in the kitchen.’”

“But those people haven’t watched a single football game. That’s the problem—when they come to the games and see us play, they realize, ‘You actually can play,’” she added.
