Country Star Pat Green Mourns “Heartbreaking Loss” After Brother Lost His Life In Texas Flooding

Devastating floods tore through six Texas counties over the July 4th weekend, claiming at least 104 lives—including 28 children—and leaving a community shattered. Kerr County bore the brunt of the disaster, where floodwaters surged to a staggering 26 feet along the Guadalupe River. Nearby Camp Mystic, a beloved summer camp, tragically lost 27 campers and staff, while 10 children remain missing in the aftermath.

Country music star Pat Green has opened his heart amid the tragedy, revealing that his family faced an unimaginably “heartbreaking and deeply personal loss.” His wife later confirmed that Green’s younger brother, sister-in-law, and two nieces were swept away by the relentless floodwaters.

While the deaths of Green’s brother and sister-in-law have been confirmed, the fate of their two children remains unknown, adding to the anguish felt by families across Texas. As the state mourns, fellow country artists like Robert Earl Keen and Cole Hauser are stepping up to help—Keen is organizing a benefit concert to raise funds, while Hauser is delivering vital supplies to first responders on the ground.

Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy.
