Country Star Pat Green Mourns “Heartbreaking Loss” After Brother Dies In Texas Flooding

Over the July 4th weekend, catastrophic floods tore through six Texas counties, claiming at least 104 lives—including 28 children. Kerr County faced the worst devastation, with the Guadalupe River surging to a staggering 26 feet. Camp Mystic, a beloved summer retreat, was especially hard hit—losing 27 campers and staff members. Ten children remain unaccounted for.

Among those personally devastated is country music star Pat Green, who shared news of a “heartbreaking and deeply personal loss.” His wife later confirmed the unimaginable: Green’s younger brother, sister-in-law, and their two young daughters were swept away by the floodwaters.

The couple’s deaths have been confirmed. Their daughters are still missing.

As Texas grieves, fellow country stars are rallying in support. Robert Earl Keen has announced a benefit concert to aid affected families, while actor and country singer Cole Hauser is sending critical supplies to overwhelmed first responders.

Our thoughts are with the families affected by this tragedy.
