Individual Diagnosed with Aggressive Prostate Ca.n.cer with Bone Metastasis

An 82-year-old man has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer—grade group 5 with a Gleason score of 9—that has already spread to his bones, his personal office announced on Sunday, May 18.

The diagnosis came after doctors investigated a recent increase in urinary symptoms. Though the cancer is advanced, it is classified as hormone-sensitive, which means there are still viable treatment options available. The man and his family are currently consulting with medical specialists to determine the best course of action.

According to the American Cancer Society, grade group 5 represents the most severe classification of prostate cancer, indicating a high risk of rapid growth and spread. While the disease has reached the bones, there’s no confirmation yet that it has affected lymph nodes or other organs.

This serious development follows earlier health reports that showed no significant concerns. In 2023, a routine biopsy identified a small lesion, later confirmed as basal cell carcinoma, which was successfully removed.
