Republican Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois has called for former First Lady Jill Biden to face criminal charges for elder abuse, following the announcement of her husband, Joe Biden’s, cancer diagnosis and growing concerns over his mental and physical decline during his presidency.
In a post on X, Rep. Miller sharply criticized Jill Biden, accusing her of “complicity in covering up Joe Biden’s mental and physical deterioration.” She went further, declaring, “She should face CRIMINAL CHARGES for elder abuse!”
The controversial remarks come amid ongoing speculation regarding Joe Biden’s cognitive health, with some experts raising alarms about his fitness for office. Geriatric medical specialist Dr. Elaine Healy spoke to The Post, stating that the former president was exhibiting what she described as “telltale signs of elder abuse.”
“Visible bruising, weight loss, and social withdrawal — all are forms of abuse,” Dr. Healy explained. “But more insidiously, elder abuse can also involve manipulation for financial or political gain.”
Healy questioned Jill Biden’s role in encouraging her husband to run for president, despite what many see as clear signs of his cognitive and physical decline. She wondered aloud: “Is Jill Biden a devoted wife, or is she using his dependence on her to control his decisions? If the latter, that constitutes elder abuse.”
In a striking opinion, veteran journalist Sally Quinn, who has been vocal in her criticism of Donald Trump, also took aim at Jill Biden. On the “Tara Palmeri Show,” Quinn said, “I blame Jill Biden for this. She knew her husband’s health better than anyone, and yet she allowed him to run. It was a disservice to the country, and honestly, I consider it elder abuse.”
Donald Trump Jr. joined the conversation, sarcastically questioning the former first lady’s involvement in what he labeled a “cover-up” of Joe Biden’s health issues. “How did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer? Or is this just another cover-up?” he asked on Truth Social.
As the story develops, several doctors have raised doubts about how Biden’s aggressive prostate cancer — rated a high-risk Gleason score of 9 — went undetected for so long, leaving many wondering why such serious health issues were only disclosed recently.
