A woman who claims to be Donald Trump’s daughter has spoken out again, sharing a striking new update that’s reignited attention around her long-running case.

The story centers on Necla Özmen, a 55-year-old woman from Ankara, who says she is Trump’s “secret” child. She claims she only discovered the truth later in life after learning she had been adopted.

Özmen alleges ‘baby swap’ in Trump paternity claim

As reported by the Daily Mail, she claims she was involved in a hospital “baby swap” in Turkey in 1970. She alleges that her biological mother, an American woman named Sophia, gave her up as she was the result of a “forbidden” relationship with Trump.

Despite the extraordinary nature of her claims, Özmen insists her motives are personal rather than political – she claims she merely wants to confirm whether or not Trump is her father.

Her goal is straightforward in theory, a DNA test, but legally complex. A family court in Ankara dismissed her initial case due to what it called a lack of evidence. However, she has appealed the decision, keeping the case active in Turkey. At the same time, she has begun legal proceedings in the United States, where her team has already submitted an application that’s been accepted for procedural review, with a formal lawsuit expected to follow.

This two-pronged legal approach was deliberate. Özmen has said she anticipated setbacks in Turkey and worked with lawyers connected to the U.S. to pursue the case internationally. She frames her efforts as a matter of personal rights and says she expects a fair process.

Özmen criticizes Trump’s divisive politics

While maintaining that her case is personal, Özmen has also addressed Trump more broadly, even commenting on his role on the world stage.

She argued that although he claims to want to develop and strengthen the United States, interfering in the internal affairs of other countries is not the right approach.

In addition, she shared hope that if her claims are proven true, Trump would respond with kindness, adding that she believes he is a good father and would not reject her.

Trump’s publicly known family includes five children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany and Barron, from three marriages. While there is no verified evidence supporting Özmen’s allegations, similar claims involving high-profile figures have surfaced before, though they remain unproven without DNA confirmation.

Interest in the story recently surged again after an AI-generated image circulated online showing Özmen standing beside Trump as if they were father and daughter. She said the image had a strong emotional impact on her.

For Özmen, the image represents more than a digital creation and instead reflects something she believes has been absent throughout her life.
