FBI Launches Criminal Probe Into Alleged Long-Term Election Interference Scheme

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has quietly launched an expansive criminal investigation into what insiders describe as a decade-long conspiracy involving political operatives and shadowy elements of the so-called “deep state” aimed at meddling in multiple U.S. elections, according to federal sources.

Authorized several weeks ago by FBI Director Kash Patel, the probe is still in its early stages but could escalate to the appointment of a special prosecutor, insiders reveal.

The inquiry, first reported by Just the News, focuses on a series of coordinated actions by political and government figures—stretching from the 2016 Russia collusion allegations through more recent cases linked to Special Counsel Jack Smith. The goal: to determine if these events constitute a deliberate criminal conspiracy designed to influence election outcomes.

Classified Evidence Could Unlock Key Answers

Sources close to the investigation say two sets of highly classified documents may hold the keys to unraveling the scheme.

The first is a secret annex from the inspector general’s report on Hillary Clinton’s private email server, long sought by lawmakers like Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley, who argue it contains intelligence overlooked by FBI leaders.

The second involves materials cited in Special Counsel John Durham’s final report, including what’s been called “Clinton plan intelligence”—evidence that U.S. intelligence agencies were aware the Clinton campaign was pushing a false Russia collusion narrative even before the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation kicked off.

Both document sets remain tightly sealed to protect sensitive intelligence sources and methods.

Former Intelligence Officials Raise Alarms

This investigation follows sharp criticism from former senior intelligence officials, notably ex-CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who has accused the intelligence community of politicizing their work.

Ratcliffe singled out former CIA Director John Brennan and ex-FBI Director James Comey, labeling their actions as part of “a corrupt process” aimed at undermining then-candidate—and later President—Donald Trump.

“We are examining whether political motives improperly influenced critical decisions by key federal agencies,” a senior official involved in the probe said.

What’s Next?

The FBI has yet to comment publicly, and it remains uncertain if the investigation will result in indictments. But if ongoing declassification efforts proceed, the revelations could have far-reaching impacts on public trust and political accountability.

At present, the case is still unfolding, with the potential appointment of a special counsel hinging on what investigators uncover during this initial phase.
