Accompanied by a warm beach photo featuring herself alongside President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, Ashley addressed the wave of rumors fueled by books and news reports. Without naming any specific journalists or outlets, she criticized the unnamed sources responsible for spreading these false claims.
Ashley Biden didn’t hold back in her Instagram post, writing: “The ONLY coverup of this family is a BEACH coverup. He aged, YES! As we all do! And the stress of the presidency accelerates. But he was always MORE than capable of doing the job. And a damn good one.”
While she didn’t name CNN’s Jake Tapper or Axios’s Alex Thompson directly, her words seemed to push back against the central claims of their new book, Original Sin, which alleges Biden’s team concealed signs of mental decline during his presidency.
Ashley added, “The noise is so D*** disrespectful and untrue. Created by those committed to perpetuating and profiting from some real BS. Get lost with your anonymous sources and fake news.”
She then praised her father’s relentless dedication to public service, saying he “worked harder than anyone I have ever known” and approached his role as president with a “sacred obligation.”
Closing on a personal note, Ashley expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support after the announcement of Joe Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis, saying she was “super grateful for the love and support.”
“We, like any family, chose HOPE during times of great despair and uphill battles. And we continue to choose hope. That’s what Dad taught us and gave us,” Ashley wrote.
Adding her voice to the defense, Naomi Biden, Joe Biden’s granddaughter, also took aim at Original Sin, denouncing it as an exaggerated and baseless attack on her grandfather’s legacy.

Naomi Biden didn’t hold back either, stating bluntly: “Just read a copy of this silly book. Put simply, it amounts to a bunch of unoriginal, uninspired lies written by irresponsible self-promoting journalists out to make a quick buck.”
She also slammed the book’s heavy reliance on anonymous sources, adding, “It relied on unnamed, anonymous sources pushing a self-serving false narrative.”
