Originally from the Philippines, Chris and his family later moved to the United States, bringing his Lola along with them. In her younger years, she was a schoolteacher back home. At one point, the family considered hiring a full-time caregiver for Lola, but Chris knew deep down he was ready to take on the responsibility himself.
In the Philippines, “Lola” is a loving term for grandmother, and in their native dialect, Chris often calls her “Apu.” The thought of sending her to a care facility was never an option for him — he was determined to care for her himself.
Chris dedicates much of his time and energy to giving Lola the love and attention she deserves. He’s been sharing their journey through videos since 2014 and began vlogging regularly in 2019.
