Poll: Most Americans Believe Trump Is Hiding Epstein Secrets
A recent YouGov/Economist poll exposes a growing crisis of confidence in Donald Trump’s administration following the Justice Department’s latest update on the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Public Doubts Deepen
Between July 11 and 14, Americans were asked if they believed the government was hiding evidence tied to Epstein’s crimes. The results were eye-opening:
- 67% suspect a government cover-up
- 25% remain unsure
- Only 8% dismiss any cover-up claims
This widespread skepticism deals a serious blow to Trump’s credibility—even among his former allies.
Backlash After Epstein Memo Release
Last week, the Department of Justice and FBI issued a two-page memo confirming that Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and denying the existence of a so-called “client list.” The memo also refuted conspiracy theories suggesting Epstein blackmailed powerful figures.
Former Allies Turn Critical
The memo ignited fierce criticism from Trump’s past supporters. Elon Musk accused the administration of a cover-up, while Joe Rogan slammed the backtracking, citing former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s prior claim that the client list was “on her desk.”
“They had videotape, and now suddenly they don’t?” Rogan questioned on his podcast.
Bondi later clarified she was referring to a general Epstein file—not a detailed list of names.
Trump Pushes Back
Trump responded on Truth Social, defending his administration as “PERFECT” and accusing “selfish people” of trying to damage it over Epstein, whom he described as “a guy who never dies.”
He also backed Bondi and dismissed Epstein questions from reporters as distractions from more pressing national tragedies like the Texas floods.
Demand for Transparency Grows
The poll also showed overwhelming public demand for full disclosure:
- 79% want all Epstein-related documents released
- 17% unsure
- Just 5% oppose full transparency
This puts even more pressure on Trump’s administration to come clean.
What’s Next?
With trust eroding and former allies turning critical, the Epstein controversy shows no signs of fading. For many Americans, the call for truth and transparency is louder than ever.
