Breaking News: Tragic Crash Claims 19 Lives on City Outskirts

State of Mexico — November 20.
A serious multiple-vehicle collision took place this Wednesday on the Mexico–Querétaro Highway, near kilometer 59 in Huehuetoca, State of Mexico.

According to reports, the accident began when a trailer, unable to brake in time before the Jorobas intersection, crashed into a roadside bank and then plowed into five cars and a pickup truck. The impact left the trailer sprawled across the highway, blocking all three northbound lanes and forcing a partial closure of the busy route toward Mexico City.

Possible Causes

Preliminary information suggests that the day’s rain left the road slick, which may have contributed to the driver’s loss of control. Authorities are conducting a full investigation to confirm the exact cause.

Injuries and Response

Emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene. Paramedics treated several people with minor injuries, and while no life-threatening cases were reported, some victims were advised to undergo further medical evaluation at nearby hospitals as a precaution.
