Jennifer Robyn Bernard, best known for her memorable portrayal of Terry Brock on General Hospital, has tragically passed away. A familiar face to soap opera fans of the 1980s, Bernard appeared in 145 episodes of the iconic daytime series from 1984 to 1990, leaving a lasting impression with her captivating performances.
Authorities confirmed Bernard’s body was discovered earlier this week in San Jacinto, California. Law enforcement responded to a report of an unattended death on Tuesday, and her identity was confirmed through fingerprint records. An autopsy is scheduled with the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, though the official cause of death has not yet been released.
In addition to her work on General Hospital, Bernard appeared as a psychologist in the 2002 film Voices from the High School. While she largely stepped back from acting after her daytime TV career, she remained a beloved figure among fans and colleagues alike.
Her passing comes shortly after the soap opera world mourned the loss of Jackie Zeman, the beloved actress who brought Bobbie Spencer to life. Colleagues fondly remembered Zeman’s warmth, professionalism, and the kindness she brought to the set. “She truly was the heart of the show,” one crew member shared. “Even off-camera, Jackie embodied the spirit of Bobbie.”
