Former President Barack Obama may soon find himself under oath — and the legal stakes couldn’t be higher.
According to investigative journalist John Solomon of Just the News, a new legal development could pave the way for Obama to be subpoenaed and forced to testify about his alleged role in the controversial 2016 “Russiagate” operation.
Immunity Has Its Limits
While former presidents typically enjoy immunity for actions taken in office, there’s a major catch: if Obama lies under oath — even once — that shield disappears.
“If he lies as a private citizen about what he did as President, he’ll no longer have that immunity,” Solomon said in a live interview. “That’s the trap.”
January 5, 2017: The Meeting That Changed Everything
Solomon points to a key White House meeting just weeks before Trump took office — January 5, 2017. According to his reporting, Obama met with senior officials to discuss a plan to entrap incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
Flynn had already been cleared of wrongdoing, yet officials allegedly plotted to get him into an interview, catch him in a misstatement, and prosecute him — a move some now say could come full circle on Obama himself.
Gabbard Drops a Bombshell
Adding fuel to the fire, former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard released new documents Friday. She alleges the Obama administration invented the Trump–Russia collusion narrative purely to derail the incoming presidency.
Former President Trump didn’t mince words: “He’s guilty. This was treason.”
Democrats Panic as Legal Pressure Mounts
Behind closed doors, Democratic operatives are reportedly urging Obama to stay silent as media pressure intensifies. But grand jury proceedings change the game — and legal experts warn that Obama has no Fifth Amendment protection if called to testify.
One misstep under oath, and the consequences could be historic.
