The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta family is grieving the untimely loss of Khadiyah “KD” Lewis, who tragically passed away on May 30 at the age of 44. Her brother, Jamaal “Jay” Lewis, confirmed the devastating news. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
In a deeply emotional tribute shared on Facebook, KD’s younger brother, Elijah Inegbedion, expressed his grief:
“Been at a loss for words for some days now. And to think that I’ll ever have the words to describe the person you’ve been and the legacy you’ve left behind would be impossible.
Long live my sister, Khadiyah Lewis.”
Fans and loved ones alike are left mourning the loss of a vibrant personality whose legacy on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta will never be forgotten.

“You left behind a legacy most people can only dream of. Thank you for loving me the way you did and always having my back, no matter what. God truly blessed me when He made me your baby brother, and for that, I am eternally grateful. You are forever on my mind and in my heart. I love you!”
Khadiyah gained widespread recognition during Seasons 3 and 4 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, where she first appeared as rapper Yung Joc’s real estate agent and assistant, later evolving into his girlfriend. Her confident presence and involvement in multiple storylines made her a standout figure on the show. KD’s legacy lives on, not just through her television appearances, but also through the countless lives she touched with her unwavering spirit and love.
Outside of her appearances on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Khadiyah “KD” Lewis was a thriving entrepreneur. With degrees from both Florida A&M University and Georgia State University, she built an impressive career as a tax consultant and real estate broker. KD was the proud owner of several businesses, including a real estate investment firm, a financial services company, and a consulting agency, showcasing her versatility and business acumen.
Though she spent many years living in Atlanta, KD remained closely connected to her roots in Oklahoma. While her time on Love & Hip Hop brought her public recognition, her life beyond the cameras reflected her deep commitment to entrepreneurship and personal growth. After stepping away from the spotlight, she largely kept a low profile. Her social media presence ceased in 2018, and her professional website has since gone offline, as reported by The Sun.
Love & Hip Hop remains one of the most iconic reality TV franchises, chronicling the lives of those in the hip hop industry. Premiering in 2011 with Love & Hip Hop: New York, the show expanded to feature spinoffs in Atlanta, Hollywood, and Miami. It offers an inside look at the careers, relationships, and struggles of rappers, singers, producers, and their inner circles. KD’s involvement in the Atlanta edition of the series left an indelible mark, but her impact extends far beyond reality TV—both in business and in the hearts of those who knew her.
